DEAR EDITOR:
I realize that this letter probably is going to like a paid advertising or a solicited endorsement, but the intent is not that at all, but rather to express appreciation and gratitude to a man who has improved my health tremendously.
About 18 months ago, after being diagnosed with sciatica, I underwent a body scan as well as a heart scan. The determination was that I had a high probability of clogged arteries and a herniated disk in my lower back, and in addition, I also suffered from diabetes type II, found in the summer of 2000. In 1988, after a mild heart attack at 43, I had two angioplasties, and now in 2002, another angioplasty was scheduled, but I decided not to do it. A lower back operation was also suggested, but I balked at that as well.
The pain in my lower back, buttocks and legs was at times unbearable, and that went on for over a year until just four months ago when I started treatment at Family Choice Chiropractic with doctor Martin Davis. I couldn’t sit for very long, couldn’t stand without having to lean on something, couldn’t walk for more than a few feet at a time, just about restricted to lying in bed.
Because of the pain and forcing myself to try to walk, drive, and do other things, my back started to lean to one side causing me to not be able to stand straight.
After only about six weeks, I had marked improvement, I threw away my pain pills, and I could stand straight again. I am exercising at least 15 minutes a day now, and the great amount of progress that I have made in only four months gives me hope for chose to 100 percent recovery. I still have to deal with the diabetes and the arteries, but at least one major problem is just about under control.
Dr. Davis and his disk pump therapy have been a godsend for me, and through this letter, I hope to bring recognition as well as appreciation for the great work he and his staff are doing.
