150 tennis players from throughout Northern California competed
in the 23rd annual Gilroy Garlic NTRP the weekend of July 10-12 at
Las Animas and El Roble Parks, and Gavilan College.
GILROY – 150 tennis players from throughout Northern California competed in the 23rd annual Gilroy Garlic NTRP the weekend of July 10-12 at Las Animas and El Roble Parks, and Gavilan College.
Many local players from the local Gilroy Tennis Club as well as the Gilroy, Hollister, Morgan Hill, Salinas, and Capitola areas did quite well in the event. Two of the singles competitions were won by local players Ruth Irving of Gilroy, and Tony Bontempi of Morgan Hill.
President Eileen Obata and Tournament Director Marco Renella were instrumental in organizing the event.
