Back to Miller Avenue. The City Council tried in every way to find an excuse for certain people to build multiple large houses on two city lots. Look at the beautiful homes and gardens on Princevalle Street between Fourth and Fifth streets. Have you heard any complaints? It is apparent the size of lots does not bother them. They’re beautiful homes and gardens. What other excuses can they invent?
We do not have light left turn or turn signals on Miler and First Street. These are the latest figures of traffic for a 24-hour time period on Miller Avenue: Between First and Third – 7,400 cars, Third and Fourth – 6,200 cars, Fourth and Sixth – 5,700 cars. Now there will be more cars.
We want knowledgeable people in our town. Some people think they know it all, but look how they voted. We are fortunate to have two outstanding educated and honest people in our city politics – Robb Alonzo and Albert Gagliardi.
An example of great integrity and leadership can be seen in their decision to start the Miller Avenue Neighborhood Association, trying to convince council not to vote for allowing mutliple homes on two lots.
Never did the generations of our forefathers in America worry that every home and business owner would be at risk of having his her property taken because of a well-connected powerful developer who’s making promises.
When the council is installed, do they take an oath? This certainly explains what their attitude is about taking that oath and serving the people of Gilroy.
