John Joseph Bozzo Sr. died Sunday, March 21, 2004 at the age of 88.
He was the husband of Mary R. Bozzo for 58 years. Father of John Bozzo Jr. (Nancy) of Gilroy and Nancy J. Bozzo of Hollister. Devoted grandfather to Matthew and Catie Bozzo of Gilroy.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Sam (Lena), Gene, Mike (Edith) Bozzo and sister Edith (Morris) McHenry. Uncle to Dick (Ellen) Bozzo, Don (Jeanne) Gage, Morris (Kathy) and Brian McHenry, Claudia Jewell, Michael (Shirley) Bozzo, Janice DeCosta and Patty Lema, and the late Rosemary Bozzo.
Born in Donnici, Italy in 1915 he arrived in Gilroy at the age of 4. A veteran of World War II. John served in the Air Force, mainly in the Panama Canal.
He owned and operated Farm Supply Company for 40 years and enjoyed 30 years of retirement doing what he loved, his yard, garden and babysitting his grandchildren when they were young.
