The widely acclaimed, multi-platinum selling San Jose-based rock band SmashMouth will perform in Morgan Hill Saturday, and tickets are only $5 each (or $20 for reserved seating).
The band will perform at a benefit concert in support of local resident Teresa Glover and her fight against lymphoma. The event is scheduled for 3 to 9 p.m. at Troy’s Bocce Ball, which is adjacent to Morgan Hill Bowl, 650 Tennant Station.
SmashMouth, who rose to fame in the 1990s with hits such as “All Star” and “Walkin’ on the Sun,” will play a “quick acoustic set and…present an award” at the benefit, according to the band’s Facebook page.
The show will also feature bands Gundacker Project and Mad Jack, as well as a DJ, according to the event website.

Proceeds raised from ticket sales, a silent auction, raffles and a portion of sales at the venue will go toward the Teresa Glover Fund to help the Morgan Hill resident with medical expenses in her fight against cancer.
Glover, 39, was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma in December 2013, and is in the midst of chemotherapy and other treatment. She lives in Morgan Hill with her husband Brian and their two children.
Many residents know her as their “local bartender,” as she has worked at the M & H Tavern for about the last four years. Before that, she worked as bar manager at Westside Grill in Gilroy. And she has worked at the Gilroy Dispatch as a graphics and illustration designer.
The March 8 event is produced by local production company Arts Related Technical Training for Entertainment Careers (ARTTEC).
