The Gilroy Police Department recently responded to a variety of crimes this week, including robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and embezzlement. Arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter April 22 through 28. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
Robbery
-Pavel Zapata, 35, April 24 at 11:50 p.m. near the intersection of Leavesley Road and Forest Street for felony robbery, felony assault with a deadly weapon and probation violation.
Burglary
-Rafael Garcia, 20, April 24 at 5:40 p.m. on the 7300 block of Rosanna Street for second-degree burglary and petty theft.
-Connie Sanchez, 63, April 25 at 6:38 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for felony first-degree burglary.
Inflicting bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant
-Jesus Arreguin, 34, April 27 on the 7200 block of Monterey Road.
Embezzlement
Ray Delatorre, 62, April 24 at 12:08 a.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo.
Possession of a controlled substance
-Ruben Ochoa, 20, April 25 at 12:47 a.m. on the 1200 block of Juniper Drive for felony possession of concentrated cannabis and use/being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.
-Evaristo Loa, 59, April 28 at 3 p.m. in an undisclosed area of Gilroy for two felony charges of possession of a narcotic controlled substance
-Louise Melrose, 54, April 26 at 2:05 a.m. on the 7300 block of Monterey Road.
Multiple charges
-Alyssa Hartsch, 24, April 6 at 10:43 a.m. near the crossing of Tenth Street and U.S. 101 for possession of a shopping cart and providing a false name to police officers.
-Troy Kinsey, 22, April 26 at 10:22 p.m. near the intersection of Polk Court and Murray Avenue for resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer and felony parole hold.
-Vera Luna, 49, April 27 at 6:10 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for theft, driving with privileges suspended or revoked and expired registration.
-Refugio Hernandez, 37, April 28 at 1:16 a.m. on the 7900 block of Monterey Road for driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher and use/being under the influence of a controlled substance.

-Crystal Gomez, 30, April 23 at 6:41 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo.

-Noelle Mirgoli, 27, April 25 at 12 p.m. on the 900 block of Renz Lane.
Driving violations
-Antonio Guzman, 23, April 27 at 11:24 a.m. near the intersection of Leavesley Road and Murray Avenue for expired registration, two charges of driving with privileges suspended or revoked, failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility and improper lighting.

-Alfonso Cruz, 28, April 27 at 4 p.m. in the area of Las Animas Park and Mantelli Drive.
