Seniors who will be graduating in 2005 are invited to stop by the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce office to pick up scholarship applications.
This year, the Chamber will be awarding $7,500 in scholarships, and In addition, scholarships for the Gilroy Rotary Club totaling $7,000 will be awarded. Applications for each of these scholarships are available at our office. By taking a little time to secure transcript copies, filling out the application, and completing a short essay, thousands of dollars can be earned. Figure that if a student receives a $500 scholarship with four hours invested in the application process, a return on that investment of time equates to $125 per hour.
The deadline for the Chamber’s scholarships is Friday, April 8, and the deadline for Gilroy Rotary scholarships is Friday, May 20. The Chamber office is located at 7471 Monterey Street, and the scholarship applications are all available in our front lobby. The clock is ticking, so stop by soon!
