The Gavilan Niners held their Ace Day on April 25.
GILROY – The Gavilan Niners held their Ace Day on April 25. Ace for April was Peggy Woolf, Morgan Hill, net 27. Second in the first flight was Joan Stuteville, Morgan Hill, net 30. First in the second flight was Sylvia McGee, Morgan Hill, net 33, and second was Ann Maloney, Gilroy, net 34. Teri Swan, Morgan Hill, had low putts of 14 in the first flight. Nina Kimoto, Watsonville, had low putts of 17 for the second flight.
In May the CWSCGA will hold their annual individual Championship meet playing 18 holes at Boulder Creek Golf Course on May 3 and 9 holes at Sunken Gardens, Sunnyvale, on May 17. Seventeen clubs from Foster City to Gilroy participate during the year and receive points for each member placing. At the end of the year the club with the most points wins the trophy for the year. The Gavilan Niners won the trophy for the year 2000.
