GILROY – Gilroy High football was awarded a home game to start the Central Coast Section Open Division playoffs.

The Mustangs (9-1), receiving the No. 2 seed, will host No. 7 Serra (7-3) Friday night at 7 p.m.

The team that advances will play the winner of Saturday’s matchup between No. 3-seed Bellarmine (9-1) and No. 6 Milpitas (9-1).

Undefeated Oak Grove (10-0) took the top seed and will host Palma (8-2) Friday night.

No. 5 Valley Christian (8-2) will head to Salinas Sports Complex Saturday to play No. 4 North Salinas (9-1), the only team to beat Gilroy this season.
