A 16-year-old Morgan Hill boy was booked into Juvenile Hall Wednesday after Morgan Hill police searched his home and found drugs and cash.
“The street crimes team and special operations were out doing proactive work and stopped the vehicle the juvenile was a passenger in,” said Special Operations Sgt. Jerry Neumayer.
Officers stopped the vehicle in the area of Walnut Grove Drive and East Dunne Avenue at approximately 11 a.m. They learned the teenage passenger was on probation for possession of marijuana for sales, so they conducted a search of his house to see if he was in compliance with his probation requirements.
During the search, Neumayer said, officers found eight grams of cocaine, with a street value of approximately $700. They also found 75 grams of marijuana, which is just over 2.5 ounces and sells for approximately $330 to almost $600 on the streets. Officers also found $4,300 in cash.
The teenager was charged with alleged possession of marijuana for sales and alleged possession of cocaine for sales.
