past weekend’s Gilroy rec softball league games.
Northbound surged to 3-0 atop the Men’s BB League standings Friday with a 7-6 squeaker over Dee’z Nutz at Christmas Hill Park.

Northbound erased a 5-4 deficit with a three-run rally in the bottom of the fifth inning. Marshall Silva, Benji Dequin and Santos Gutierrez hit consecutive one-out singles to tie the score. Bobby Granados delivered a two-out, two-run double. Silva paced the winners with three hits. Joel Vaca went 3-for-3 for Dee’z Nutz (0-2).

HD Auto Glass-Hard Ninety upset Dutchman’s Pizza 21-12 to move into second place at 1-1. Louie Garcia delivered two home runs, Roger Hernandez a home run and three doubles for HD-Hard Ninety. Scott Perkins lined two homers, Shannon Fernandez and Jose Avila one apiece for Dutchman’s.

The VFW Vets maintained a share of first place in the Men’s D League at 3-0 Friday with a 5-4 nod over Los Pistoleros at Christmas Hill.

Jason Contreras, Mike Montenegro and Danny Melendez each managed one single and scored once for the Vets. Lupe Lemus went 2-for-3 and scored two Los Pistoleros runs.

California Overhead kept pace at 3-0 with a 16-12 win over Team Hair FX. Mike Bonani and Hector Gallardo each went 5-for-5 for Overhead. Mario Gallardo added a home run, double and two singles. Joel Torres and Skip Bloom each homered for Team Hair FX.

Matt Fillman’s two-run home run ignited a six-run sixth inning as Campbell’s Towing stopped the Loco Boys 16-14. Lance Hedrick and Jason Morton each clubbed five hits. Adam DeLeon Sr. hit a home run, triple and single for the Loco Boys.

Isaac Agaliotis homered and Will Hanna doubled and scored two runs to lead Humboldt Brewing past Gamers In Control 11-4. A. J. Martinez went 3-for-3 and scored twice for the Gamers.

Team Hair FX is 3-0 in Co-Rec C play after a 17-2 victory over the Big Kahunas Sunday at Las Animas Park.

Gilbert Ramirez poked two doubles and Tony Martinez scored three runs for Team Hair FX. John Shause went 2-for-3 for the Kahunas.

The Icy Hotz (2-1) topped Anritsu 15-6 behind a 3-for-3 effort from Tim Adams. Brian Moreno powered a triple and two singles for the winners. Mike Benthler hit a double and two singles for Anritsu.

El Fuego (1-2) earned a forfeit win over Blackout Window Tinting.

Team Coconut moved into a three-team tie for first place at 2-1 in the Co-Rec B League with a 14-2 win over Team Strike Sunday at Las Animas.

Ryan Dequin hit a homer, triple and double for the Coconuts. T Hernandez went 3-for-3 for Team Strike.

Celia Bonilla went 5-for-5 and scored five runs as Pacific Coast Bail Bonds defeated Frank Vargas Taxes-Financing 19-8 to leave both teams at 2-1.

Tomas Carrillo went 4-for-4 with a sacrifice fly for the Bondsmen. Vanessa Pena went 2-for-2 with one RBI for Vargas Taxes. K. C. Adams added two doubles.
