visiting Carmel Monday, winning by a score of 9-0.
GILROY – Gilroy High’s varsity field hockey team had no trouble beating visiting Carmel Monday, winning by a score of 9-0.

Dani Hemeon scored the first goal of the game as the Mustangs went ahead 4-0 by halftime.

Alex Rose and Laura Spellman both scored two goals, while Jennifer Rose, Aubrey Young and Taylor Schaut all found net once.

Gilroy (11-0-1) will be off until a 3:30 p.m. game Friday at Robert Louis Stevenson.
