The Christopher High girls soccer team pushed its unbeaten streak to five games with a 2-2 tie against visiting second-place North Monterey County on Thursday.

CHS nabbed a 1-0 first-half advantage on Jamie Lanz’s second goal of the week – she also scored in a 2-1 win against Monterey on Tuesday.
The Condors tied matters in the second half before Cailin McCarry registered yet another goal to provide the Cougars with a 2-1 lead, which lasted until the final moments of the game. However, the Condors managed to spoil the Cougars’ fifth straight victory with a tally as time ticked under one minute.
“The girls really wanted to win so they were a little down after the game,” CHS head coach Janae Pimentel said. “But they played well. We’ll see where we go from here.”
The Cougars, one of only three in the seven-team league to hold an above .500 league record, face first-place Watsonville on the road Tuesday.
