Imminent climate projections for Gilroy are 72 degrees with a 20 percent chance of rain on Monday; 74 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain on Tuesday; and 72 degrees with a 50 percent chance of rain on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are looking dry, although temperatures will continue to cool down. The NWS also states strong winds are also a possibility in next week’s weather menu.
The organization warns “this is the time to clean out storm drains to prevent localized urban flooding. Roadways will be slippery with the first significant rain of the season, and drivers are urged to use caution.”
People traveling to the Sierras next week should plan for winter weather conditions and carry chains, according to the NWS.
The NWS also states a dry air mass will settle over all of Northern California toward Thursday and Friday.
