Gilroy’s population grew at a larger rate percentagewise than any city in Santa Clara County during the past decade, according to data released Tuesday by the U.S. Census Bureau.

From April 2000 through April 2010, Gilroy’s population grew by 7,357 people – a 17.7 percent increase, Census figures showed.
