Santy Robillos, 45 of Tracy, pleaded not guilty to four counts of lewd behavior alleging that he repeatedly molested a young girl in Morgan Hill.
Robillos will next appear at the South County Courthouse April 7 for a pretrial hearing, according to Amy Cornell, Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman.
He was arrested Sept. 20, 2010, by Morgan Hill and Tracy police at his home in Tracy, following an investigation into the abuse allegations. Police said in 2000 and 2002, Robillos repeatedly molested a girl who was about 6 or 7 years old.
Robillos was a friend of the victim’s family at the time the offenses occurred, police said. During the investigation, police also found that a neighbor of the victim, who was 9 years old at the time, was also sexually assaulted by Robillos. He pleaded not guilty to the charges March 10.
If convicted, Robillos faces a maximum sentence of 48 years in prison.
