The City of Gilroy is looking to fill an open seat on its Bicycle Pedestrian Commission, a five-member panel that advises the Gilroy City Council on bicycle- and pedestrian-related matters in the city.
The chosen applicant will serve the remainder of a four-year term ending Dec. 31, 2013, according to a city press release.
The commission meets at 6 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Responsibilities include reviewing activities and concerns of bicyclists and pedestrians, holding public forums, recommending policies and procedures and working with city staff to provide input on bicycle and pedestrian issues in Gilroy, according to the press release.
The application deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6.
The Council will interview applicants and make appointments 6 p.m. Monday, September 12th in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 7351 Rosanna Street.
