Resisting arrest

Public intoxication

Cirilo Florino Lopez, 21, of the 100 block of London Place, 9 p.m. Tuesday, at 6331 Snowberry Court on a warrant.

Driving under the influence

Rebekah Francine Trail, 28, of the 7500 block of Hanna Street, 8:03 p.m. Monday, at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 6825 Camino Arroyo, for driving under the influence and child endangerment.

John Edward Hawes, 46, of Morgan Hill, 12:14 a.m. Wednesday, near the intersection of Princevalle Street and Lexington Court.

Domestic battery

Joseph Gorena Gromaldo, 42, of Hollister, 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, at the San Benito County Jail on warrants for domestic abuse and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Possession of narcotics

Richard Gene Starkweather, 50, of Hollister, 9:10 p.m. Thursday at the San Benito County Jail on warrants.

Octavio Salazar Felix, 27, of the 8100 block of Spring Court, 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Gilroy Police Department, on a warrant.

Driving without a license

Benjamin Lawrence O’Donovan, 21, of the 400 block of Gavilan Court, 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, at 350 Mantelli Drive on a warrant for driving without a license and driving at a reckless speed.

Petty theft

Juan Polanco Padilla, 25, of Los Banos, 2:24 p.m. Wednesday, at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo.

Embezzlement

Norma Garcia, 24, of Hollister, 2:46 p.m. Wednesday, at 99 Cents Only, 260 E. 10th St.

Littering

Pablo Ramirez Ortiz, 32, transient, 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on a warrant.

Controlled substance

Rudy Ochoa, 56, transient, 9:04 p.m. Wednesday, at Motel 6, 6110 Monterey Road, for being under the influence of a controlled substance and parole hold.

Other GPD incidents

Commercial burglary

A flat-screen television valued at $600 was taken from unlocked exercise room at the Forest Park Inn, 375 Leavesley Road, between 9:15 p.m. and 11:11 p.m. Tuesday.

Gilroy Wash and Dry, 6908 Chestnut St., was broken into but nothing was taken, 1:11 a.m. Wednesday. The suspect or suspects entered the store through a vent in the roof and tripped an alarm.

Faucets valued at $250 and mirrors valued at $375 were stolen from unfinished homes at 1945 Killarney Court between 1 p.m. Nov. 21 and 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Auto burglary

CDs, presents, shopping bags, cash and paperwork were stolen from a silver 2004 Honda Accord parked on the 400 block of Victoria Drive, between 5:30 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect or suspects also took the keys to the vehicle, which were in the car.

A laptop and a cell phone were stolen from a black 2008 Chevrolet Silverado parked on the 700 block of Willamburg Way, between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

A purse with personal items was stolen from a red 2002 GMC Envoy parked on the 1600 block of Mantelli Drive, between 4:30 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m., Tuesday.

A cell phone valued at $70 was stolen from a green 1995 Ford Explorer parked outside 6740 Rosanna St., between 10 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect or suspects smashed the passenger-side window, causing $200 in damages, to enter the vehicle.

A stereo valued at $100 was stolen out of a 2002 Dodge parked at Marx Towing, 5757 Obata Way, 8:12 p.m. Wednesday.

Vehicle vandalism

An unknown suspect threw an 18-inch stick at passenger-side window of a red 1989 Honda Civic parked outside 8191 Forest St., 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The stick broke the window, causing $100 in damages.

Sheriff’s arrests

Forgery

Samantha Klaver, 22, of the 10600 block of Carolyn Court, 12:25 p.m. Nov. 17, near the intersection of Ferguson Road and Leavesley Avenue for forgery. Klaver admitted to stealing two checks, forging the owner’s signature and cashing them for $60 each at Washington Mutual Bank.

Possession of narcotics

Jason Alexander Flores, 28, of the 18200 block of Half Avenue in Morgan Hill, 7:40 p.m. Nov. 13, near the intersection of Farrell Avenue and Monterey Road for possession of narcotics.

Driving under the influence

Jorge Tuletino Garcia, 33, of the 600 block of Tatum Avenue, 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, near the intersection of Monterey and Eighth streets for driving under the influence and without a license.

David Lopez, 24, of the 1300 block of Dogwood Way in Morgan Hill, 3:17 a.m. Nov. 22, near the intersection of Crest Avenue and Main Street in Morgan Hill for driving under the influence and driving without a license.

Other sheriff incidents

Harassing phone calls

A 46-year-old known male suspect called an ex-girlfriend’s cell phone 30 to 40 times and left obscene and harassing messages, between 8 a.m. Nov. 13 and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 20. The front and rear driver-side tires on the woman’s white 1989 Nissan were vandalized, causing $80 in damage, during the same period.
