San Jose – Former Olympic gold medalist Andre Ward of Oakland remained unbeaten Thursday with a third-round technical knockout of Julio Jean in a super middleweight bout at HP Pavilion.

Ward improved to 11-0 with the win over Jean (7-11-1), a late replacement for Delray Raines.

On the undercard of the Fight Night at the Tank that attracted a crowd of 4,124, Shada Hamsho (9-0) won by unanimous decision over Gilroy High graduate Carlos Musquez (3-1-1) in a super feathweight bout.

Salinas’ Jesus “Chuy” Rodriguez won by unanimous decision over Carlos De La Cruz.
