Visit the FOSMAS pet fairs from noon to 4pm Saturday, at Petco-Gilroy (San Ysidro Avenue, north of the Outlets) and from noon to 5pm Saturday and Sunday, at Petco-Morgan Hill (corner of Tennant Avenue and Monterey Road), where many companion animals will be featured. Stop by to find a new furry friend; make a donation to help cover spay/neuter, food, and litter expenses; find out how to become a foster parent; get more information on adopting barncats; or sign-up to volunteer for the shelter.

Annual Bicycle Rodeo
Gilroy – The Gilroy Police Department Neighborhood Resource Unit will host the annual Bicycle Rodeo from 11am to 2pm, today, at El Roble School, 930 Third St. The California Highway Patrol and the Gilroy Fire Department will also be assisting with this the event.
The Bicycle Rodeo is an annual safety event where children can get their bicycles inspected. Children can also learn how to navigate city streets, crosswalks and railroad crossings. Free bicycle license registration, helmets and children’s fingerprinting will also be available.

Fundraiser Benefits Adult Care
San Jose – Live Oak Adult Day Services will host a gala fundraising event from 6 to 11pm Saturday. Oct. 6, at Bella Mia Restaurant, 58 So. First St., San Jose.
The event will feature entertainment by Opera San Jose, dinner, silent and live auction, music and dancing.
All proceeds will benefit frail and dependent seniors who attend the specialized adult day care program at Live Oak’s five centers. The non-profit agency has been serving disabled, at-risk seniors with life-enhancing recreation, socialization and nutrition since 1983. Donations are $100 per person and parking is free.
