Nikki Dequin’s two-run triple in the sixth inning lifted unbeaten Los Pollos Hermanos past Almost There 8-5 in Co-Rec Fall Softball League play Sunday at Las Animas Park.
Jamie Hall added a triple and single to the Hermanos offense. Tom Castillo stroked a two-run double for the 2-0 winners. Kawika Palacios hit two triples and a single for Almost There (0-2).
Dave Meacham went 4 for 5 and Raul Salgado scored three runs to help Team TF (2-0) to an 11-9 win over Team Rush. Graig Martinez hit a three-run home run in a 4 for 4 effort for Rush (1-1).
Sebastian VanDeren and Billy Gocke each went 5 for 5 to spark Gilroy Thunder by Team OMG 25-16 in the Men’s Thursday EE opener for both clubs.
Jesse Moore delivered four hits and scored five Thunder runs. Benny Cortez Jr. homered for OMG.
Dave Meacham went 5 for 5 as Claddagh turned back the Sweepers 19-4. Mike Keith produced four Claddagh hits. Joe Arde hit a two-run single for the Sweepers.
VFW Bingo began Men’s Thursday E play at Christmas Hill Park with an 8-4 edging of the Gilroy VFW Vets.
Bingo put the game away with four runs in the top of the seventh, keyed by a two-run single from Jeff Heck. Gary Tognetti went 3 for 3 for the winners. Daniel Montenegro tripled and singled, plating one Vet run.
Ryan Costa and Eddie Adame each homered as C&J Maintenance eased past the Lost boyz 20-1. Tucker Baksa doubled and scored on a Joel Torres single for the Boyz’ marker.
Graig Martinez hit two home runs, Danny Hinojos and Abraham Burciaga one each in a 19-13 Team Noah decision over Extreme Air. Bryce Wilson and Shawn Penzo each homered for Extreme Air.
The Players-HD Auto Glass upended the Blacktop Bombers 10-9 in Men’s Wednesday DD action.
Israel Vasquez singled and scored on an Andrew Bollinger sacrifice fly in the seventh inning to send the game into extra frames. Johnny Burns doubled and scored the game-winner on a Vasquez sacrifice. Reggie Stanley went 2 for 4 and scored two Bomber runs.
Garlic City Computer & Network scored 14 runs in the fifth inning to top the Borrachos 18-3. Marc Vegas and Chris Wong hit homers in the decisive frame. Matias Franco tripled and singled for the Borrachos.
Leroy Martinez went 4 for 5 and John Gonzalez homered to lead Bash Brothers by Feather Haven 21-9. Aaron Parker homered and both Timmy DeCarlo and Rob Rocha went 3 for 3 for Feather Haven.
