Gilroy Police Department

The elderly man whose dead body was found in a motorhome on West Eighth Street last month has been labeled a “suspicious death” by the Gilroy Police Department.
“We are not releasing any information yet, but the way his body was found was suspicious,” said Police Sgt. Pedro Espinoza.
By next week, Espinoza said detectives will be done with their investigation and will divulge more information.
At 7:37 p.m. June 14, Gilroy Police officers and Gilroy Fire personnel were dispatched to the 0-100 block of West Eighth Street regarding a possible dead body that had been located within a motorhome.
GFD paramedics arrived on scene and confirmed the subject, an elderly male whose name and age have not been released, was deceased. GPD detectives and the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office are conducting a death investigation, the press release states.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Michael Bolton at (408) 846-0350. Parties wishing to remain anonymous may call We-Tip at 1-800-782-7463.
