BURLINGAME – In their largest offensive output of the season, the Gilroy High girls varsity soccer team let loose 19 shots in a 3-0 win over Wilcox in non-league action Wednesday.
Alexandria Maldonado struck for two goals and Taylor Slattery added one in the win.
Lauren Bertero had three saves in net for Gilroy.
Prior to Wednesday’s victory, the Mustangs had just two goals in seven games. They have four goals in their last two contests, which includes a 1-0 triumph over The Kings Academy on Monday.
The Mustangs are now 2-4-1 on the year. They open up Tri County Athletic League play on Jan. 7 against North Salinas.
