Two drivers were injured in a traffic accident on Highway 152 the evening of July 18, according to authorities. One of the vehicles rolled over onto its side, and another sustained significant front-end damage.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the accident at about 6:30pm at the intersection of San Felipe Road and Highway 152. A Honda sedan and Toyota pickup truck collided, causing the pickup to roll over, according to CHP incident logs.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries, according to CHP Hollister-Gilroy Capt. Noel Coady. The cause of the accident “appears to be a result of unsafe speed,” based on preliminary reports, Coady said.
Officers have not ruled out other potential causes, such as alcohol or drug impairment, Coady said.
“This is a reminder for everybody to always be cognizant of speed, and to maintain a safe distance behind vehicles ahead of them,” Coady added. “Expect the unexpected.”
