About 8:31 p.m. Tuesday, two men in a brown late-1990s Honda with chrome rims and tinted windows cruised by a 25-year-old Hispanic male, who was walking near the intersection of First Street and Wren Avenue, police said. The passenger in the car – who witnesses described as a Hispanic male about 20 years old with a shaved or bald head – used a large caliber handgun to fire an undisclosed number of shots at the 25-year-old.

The men hit the 25-year-old at least once, but police would not say how many bullets hit the man, police said. Police did not say where the man was hit, how badly he was injured, or what condition he was in.

Witnesses said the man who fired the shots looked like a “Cholo,” a Spanish slang term that refers to gangsters, police said. Police did not release any information regarding the driver of the car.

Anyone with information on the shooting can call Investigator Geoff Guerin at 846-0348 or can leave an anonymous tip at (800) 782-7463.
