A vehicle hit two parked vehicles in the south parking lot of
Antonio Del Buono Elementary School, 2:52 p.m. Sept. 14. The driver
told a witness she was aware she hit the vehicles and said she
had

barely bumped

them before leaving without providing any contact information.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
Grand theft

A thief or thieves cut a wire fence and entered a yard on Leavesley Road, then stole three commercial-sized tires with rims valued at $1,050, between 2 and 7 a.m. Sept. 11.

A thief or thieves entered a vacant home on Wren Avenue and took a teak dining set valued at $2,000, a water fountain valued at $500 and an outside kitchen valued at $5,000, 11:15 a.m. Sept. 11. The thief or thieves also took a red Honda lawnmower valued at $400 from the garage.

Two unidentified thieves entered Leslie’s Pool Supply on Camino Arroyo and took a Polaris pool sweeper valued at $530, 3:37 p.m. Sept. 14. They left through the parking lot in a new-model black Jeep Liberty.

A thief stole a Sony camera valued at $1,800 from a store on First Street, 11:15 p.m. Sept. 5.

A thief stole two Sony cameras valued at $900 from a store on First Street, 11:20 p.m. Sept. 9.

Injury accident

A red 2001 Ford Mustang went through a stop sign at the intersection of Sixth and Eigleberry streets and hit a red 2006 Scion xA, 5:56 p.m. Sept. 11. The driver of the Scion was injured after the airbags deployed.

A white 2008 Volvo and a black 2004 Volkswagen collided on the corner of First and Hanna streets, 8:19 p.m. Sept. 12.

Petty theft

A thief stole a person’s black Samsung phone valued at $200 at an unspecified location on Martin Street, 6:40 p.m. Sept. 11.

A thief or thieves stole a license plate from a gray 11996 Toyota Camry at an unspecified location on Maple Street, between June 1 and 4.

A thief or thieves stole credit cards and other miscellaneous cards from at an unspecified location near Church and First streets, 2:45 p.m. Sept. 4.

Residential burglary

A burglar or burglars pried two screens off the east side of a residence on Dovetail Way, between 1 p.m. Sept. 11 and 10:31 a.m. Sept. 12. The burglar or burglars did not enter, but the screen was damaged. Police lifted prints from the window.

Hit and run

A tan Mazda parked on Eigleberry and Seventh streets was hit by a black Ford Expedition with chrome wheels, 8:03 p.m. Sept. 12. The suspect fled but possibly lives at the same address as the victim.

An unidentified vehicle collided with the rear or a VTA bus, 1:25 p.m. Sept. 13.

A male and female in a dating relationship were involved in a physical disturbance on Monterey and 10th streets, 8:42 p.m. Sept. 12.

Stolen vehicle

A black 1995 Honda was taken from a home in front of 10th Street, between 11 p.m. Sept. 12 and 1:12 p.m. Sept. 13.

Animal bite

An unidentified male was bit on his left thumb after trying to capture a kitten for its safety on Camino Arroyo, 4:15 p.m. Sept. 13. He went to Gilroy Urgent Care to receive medical attention, and the cat was brought to animal control at the Gilroy Police Department.

Assault

A prior case of domestic violence was reported on El Cerrito Way, 7:18 p.m. Sept. 13.

Commercial burglary

A burglar or burglars entered the storage yard at Gonzalez Pallets on Ninth Street, broke the window of three trucks, and stole a Sanyo CD stereo valued at $200 and two CB radios valued at $700, between 3 p.m. Sept. 12 and 7 a.m. Sept. 14.

An unidentified male left a store on Camino Arroyo without paying for two MP3 players valued at $200, between Aug. 28 and Sept. 10.

Found property

An unidentified person found a Golden State Advantage card on Martin Street, 10 a.m. Sept. 3.

Fraud

An unidentified person wrote a check for $10,000 and cashed it at an unspecified location on Chestnut Street, Sept. 6.
