Charles Albert Frederick, 62, of Carmel, 10:15 a.m. Thursday, near Santa Teresa Boulevard and Mesa Road for using his deceased mother’s placard.
Probation violation
Marian Bonilla Duarte, 34, of Gilroy, 11:20 p.m. March 31, near Third Street and Santa Barbara Drive for possession of a hypodermic needle, probation violation and giving a false name.
Possession of stolen property
Manuel Alberto Madonado, 46, of Gilroy, 3:15 a.m. March 25, near First Street and Wren Avenue for possession of stolen property and false representation of identity.
Driving without a license
Michael John Garza, 25, of Gilroy, 11:10 p.m. March 31, near Santa Barbara and Westwood drives for not having proof of insurance and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Driving under the influence
Eric Martin Stark, 49, of San Martin, 12:30 a.m. Thursday, near Watsonville Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard in San Martin.
Christopher Dean Barry, 31, of Morgan Hill, 9:30 a.m. April 1, near Ogier and Monterey roads in Morgan Hill.

Unattended death

Grand theft
A two-person basket lift belonging to Roadway Electrical Works, weighing several thousand pounds and worth about $4,000, was stolen from a job site on Highway 152 in Gilroy, between 3:30 p.m. March 12 and 7 a.m. March 13.
An amplifier, equalizer and television monitors worth $900 were stolen from an unlocked 1991 blue Acura Integra on the 500 block of Dougherty Avenue in Morgan Hill, between 5 p.m. March 23 and 3 p.m. March 25.
Vehicle burglary
Several power tools worth $1,949 were stolen from two construction trucks near Church and San Martin avenues, between 7 a.m. March 31 and 7:45 a.m. April 1. The rear doors of the trucks were pried open.
A cell phone worth $120 was stolen from a locked 2001 gray Toyota Tacoma on the 13100 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard in San Martin, between 9:30 p.m. March 27 and 1 p.m. March 28. The rear passenger window was broken.
Five cars – a 2002 green Nissan Altima, a 2005 gray Nissan Sentra, a 2002 gray Daewoo Lamas, a 2005 silver Toyota Sienna and a 2004 gray Honda Civic – were broken into and miscellaneous items were removed on the 13400 block of Harding Avenue in San Martin, between 12:30 and 9:30 a.m. March 28.
Assault
A Morgan Hill man was punched and kicked numerous times in his head and chest and suffered lacerations to his head, face and chest on the 15400 block of Foothill Avenue in Morgan Hill, 6:15 p.m. March 29.
Assault with a deadly weapon
A group of people arrived uninvited to a party on the 10600 block of Fourth Street, yelled gang slogans and assaulted three people, possibly with bricks, between 1:40 and 1:58 a.m. March 29. The suspects are still at large.
Commercial burglary
A computer was stolen and equipment was vandalized at an office that had been ransacked on the 13200 block of Monterey Road in San Martin, between 7 p.m. March 25 and 6:45 p.m. March 27.
Attempted commercial burglary
A person tried to pry open a locked door to the chemistry building at Gavilan College, damaging the door, the door frame, the door knob and lock, between 5 p.m. March 23 and 8 a.m. March 25.
