A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 9 to 10 AM at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Ave in Modesto followed by a Chapel Service at 10 AM. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Hollister, CA at 1:30 PM followed by a reception in Hollister. Natalie Ann Cobb peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on November 19, 2016 in Modesto CA, at the age of 84. Natalie was born on December 25, 1931 in Hollister CA, to parents Gabriela and Felipe Cembellin, both who have preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Leo Cembellin, Marcelina Cembellin, Victor Cembellin, Larry Cembellin, Martina (Cembellin) Losada, and her loving husband Harold Edwin Cobb of 50 years and their daughter, Karen Sue Cobb. Natalie is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Cembellin) Lemos of Hollister, CA; brother, Frank Cembellin of Fresno, CA; daughter, Cynthia Cobb of Modesto, CA; son, Craig Cobb and daughter in law, Diane Cobb of Ceres, CA; her grandchildren, Jarod Cogswell of Portland, OR; Jennifer Martin and her husband Dan of San Luis Obispo, CA; Tonee and Lane Cobb of Ceres, CA; and great-grandchildren, Skyler and Jaycee Cogswell of Portland, OR; Makena, Harley and Aspen Martin of San Luis Obispo, CA. While in Hollister, Natalie’s career began as a telephone operator during the 1950’s. In the 1960’s, she was the principal’s secretary at R.O. Hardin Junior High.
Upon moving to Modesto, she enjoyed working with students. Natalie was the school secretary at Woodrow Elementary School. She and her husband Ed owned and operated Cobb Frozen Transport, Inc. After her husband’s death, Natalie and her son Craig continued the family transportation business. Natalie was a member of the Parents Club of Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School; Parents Club of Central Catholic High School; YLI (Young Ladies Institute) and Red Hat Society. Franklin & Downs is honored to be serving the Cobb family.
