Katrina Carter scored to help Gilroy High’s girls soccer team to a 1-1 tie against visiting Pioneer of San Jose on Thursday night at Garcia Elder Sports Complex.

Live Oak 51, San Lorenzo Valley 20 – Fayth Lyon scored 20 points and Amy Gunther added nine points to lead the Acorns past the Cougars.
Jocelyn Mendoza had five points and six steals for Live Oak (6-2), and Courtney Thomson added five points.
“I’m very happy. We still have things to correct before we reach league,” Acorns coach Mike Kiefer said.
