Dr. George Green

Gilroy’s Saint Louise Regional Hospital presented their 2012 Vincentian Spirit Award to Dr. George Green, a specialist in pulmonary/internal medicine, at the SLRH General Medical Staff Meeting Dec. 13.

Dr. Green was recognized and nominated by the SLRH medical staff, associates and community members for his compassion, respect and tireless dedication.

Dr. Green has been serving the South County, and specifically Gilroy, since 1986.

The Vincentian Spirit Award is given to physicians who work selflessly to meet the needs of the community and their patients. Many physicians go well beyond the roll and responsibilities of their profession, offering care that truly reflects the mission of the Daughters of Charity. For some, this is obvious in their own practice; for others, this takes the form of volunteering in their community or mission work that may be domestic or international. Dr. Green’s exemplary actions bear witness to the highest values of the Daughters of Charity, including respect, compassionate service, simplicity, advocacy for the poor and inventiveness.
