BASKETBALL: Notre Dame tops Gilroy girls, Santa Cruz wins title

Notre Dame of Salinas defeated Gilroy High’s girls basketball team 42-16 in the consolation bracket final of the Mustang Classic on Saturday.
Holly Lam led the host Mustangs (1-2) with six points.
Notre Dame led 21-3 at halftime.
Santa Cruz beat Evergreen Valley in the title game, 50-46. Shiloh Taul led Santa Cruz with 12 points.
