Dear Editor,
I read with interest an opinion piece (May 11) by Mr. Fennell the “Gilroy Crusader” regarding the evils of boom box cars. Mr. Fennell went as far as to suggest that it is “audio terrorism.”
While peaceful citizens do not appreciate these boom boxes, I would hardly equate the low frequency noise “cranked up to unhealthy and unreasonable levels” being an act of terrorism as he suggests. He even suggested the citizenry of Gilroy e-mail the chief of police to to find ways to stop this audio terrorism.
Personally, I would suggest Mr. Fennell fly to New York City to view a real cowardly act of real terrorism that was perpetrated against this nation. This “crusader” is wasting the time of the Gilroy chief of police and public dollars that can be spent fighting real crime.
