May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
brightened by a song in your heart,
and warmed by the smiles
of the people you love.
Lazarus, the educational gopher snake at the Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center wishes a top o’ the mornin’ to you as he slithers through the shamrocks. He’s certainly a lucky critter—he’s lived at WERC for 23 years since being rescued after someone rode a bike over his head. And he’s lucky to live in Morgan Hill, not Ireland where the legend of St. Patrick claims he long ago drove out all the snakes on the island.
