Two-way collision at Monterey and 10th streets

Three patrol units from the Gilroy Police department and one City of Gilroy vehicle responded to a two-way traffic collision that clogged up the intersection of 10th and Monterey streets around 1:12 p.m. Tuesday.

A GPD officer and City of Gilroy officer manually controlled traffic at the intersection for about 20 minutes as tow truck drivers and police attended to the scene.

The crash involved a Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Officers say one car was heading southbound; the other westbound. No one was injured during the accident, according to police.
