No Soup 4 You and Anritsu each improved to 3-0 in the Men’s Fall EE League standings Thursday at Las Animas Park, setting the stage for Thursday’s showdown at 6:30 p.m.
No Soup powered past Claddagh Brew Crew 21-10 as Ralph Ortez lined a home run and four singles, scoring five Soup runs. Manny Juarez provided four hits and Joaquin Chacon homered for the winners. Kevin Belanger went 4-for-4 and scored three runs for Claddagh.
Anritsu eased past Cross Ministries 24-4 as Matt Elston and Andy Alarcon hit home runs. Dave Elston Jr., Jaime Flores and Dave Soto each went 3-for-3 for Anritsu. Maikol Grundhoefer scored two Cross Ministries runs.
Joseph Arde singled and scored on a Mitch Ponza single in the bottom of the eighth to give the Sweepers a 14-13 win over Gilroy Thunder.
Carlos Hernandez and Kris Orre each homered for the Sweepers. Arde went 4-for-6 and scored four runs. Mike Brantner and Jere Brantner each scored three Thunder runs.  
Burch Please upset VFW Bingo 13-11 Thursday to create a four-team tie for first place in the Men’s Fall E League race at Christmas Hill Park.
Steve Aguirre hit a triple, double and two singles as Please moved to 2-1. Cesar Vasquez went 3-for-4 and scored three runs for the winners. Vinnie Randazzo and Steve Lemberger each scored two runs for 2-1 VFW Bingo.
Trevino Brothers Construction (2-1) used an eight-run third inning to defeat the Lost Boyz 15-7. Matt Corona and Joe Forestieri each hit two singles in the Trevino third inning. Steve Murnin collected four hits for the Builders. Bryan Sanchez and Anthony Bravo each scored two Lost Boyz runs.
The God Squad (2-1) edged the Loco Boys 15-13 as Abraham Burciega homered, David Lira provided three extra-base hits and Steve Facio scored three runs. Aljay Davis and Danny Pequeno powered home runs for the Loco Boys.
