Several times each year, local director John Bisceglie and Gilroy Children’s Musical Theater hold youth movie musical auditions and hundreds of Bay Area youths come out to audition for their colorful and original feature films. They offer a fun opportunity for kids to appear on camera in a full-length movie in a professional movie theater. Regardless of talent, age or experience, their policy is to cast all kids ages 5-21 who audition.
This year’s production is “Shake, Rattle & Roll!”, the ultimate 1950s and ′60s youth movie musical. This vibrant and high energy feature film will celebrate the classic ’50s and ’60s movies, TV shows, commercials and pop culture moments that defined an era.
Auditions will be held on Thursday, May 4, 4 p.m.-7 p.m., at the Morgan Hill Community Center. No experience required, and all who audition will be accepted. Casting ages 5-21.
