Kagy competes at last month’s X Games in Los Angeles, where he

For the first time since he broke is neck in a nasty fall two years ago, Gilroy native Chad Kagy will be competing in BMX in front of a home crowd. Today, the Mountain Dew Action Sports Tour rolls into San Jose for its fourth of five events, the Toyota Challenge.

Kagy, 26, is scheduled to ride in today’s BMX Vert and Sunday’s BMX Park competitions, both at HP Pavilion. The NorCal rider is currently fourth in the overall Vert standings and ninth in Park.
