On the road to face Tri-County Athletic League foe Salinas, the Mustangs improved to 13-1 in league action with a straight sets triumph 25-23, 26-24, 25-16.
Three Mustangs reached double figures in kills, led by Dietrich Baumgartner’s 15. AJ Been posted 12 kills and Robby Filice produced 10. Johnny Lester (six kills), Lucas Gravell (four), Connor Escobar (three) and Gavin Menges (two), also contributed to the offensive push.
The Mustangs (17-5 overall) travel to face San Lorenzo Valley tonight before returning to their home turf Thursday against TCAL opponent Alisal.
GHS wraps up the regular season at home against Christopher. The TCAL postseason tournament is slated to begin May 5.
