The City of Gilroy is encouraging residents to participate in a community survey as part of its Blue Skies Initiative, a long-term planning effort aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and vehicle miles traveled throughout the city.

City officials say public input will help shape future policies and projects focused on sustainability, transportation and energy efficiency. Potential strategies include improving walking and biking connections, expanding public transit options and supporting energy-efficient buildings and infrastructure.

The survey is open through June 15 and is available online at tinyurl.com/yuvfvbfa

According to the city, the Blue Skies Initiative serves as Gilroy’s roadmap for meeting climate goals while improving quality of life and transportation access for residents.

Officials said community participation is critical to ensuring the plan reflects local priorities and concerns.
