Dear Editor,

Jeramy was a person who you could talk to even if he didn’t know you on that personal level. His spirit was always high, and he always had a smile on his face when he would pass by you at school, never forgetting to say “hi.”

My friend and I were good aquaintances with him in high school, but since we were two class years behind him, it was hard to keep in touch with him after he had graduated. But we never missed him while he was in town driving that yellow bug, with those enormous tires! I know that it is a blessing when you see Marines come home for that short visit, and you smile because you know that they are here … safe.

Jeramy will be missed greatly, but I can smile knowing that he while he was in Iraq, he had great courage, and he was protecting all of us and our freedom. He has shown more bravery than most people I know, and I thank him from the bottom of my heart, and bless his family for being so brave with him.
