Any South County residents who want to learn more about what math and science have to say about climate disruption can get a free ticket and a free ride to a lecture about the subject at the San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts March 4. 

Professor Emily Shuckburgh, Head of Open Oceans Research Group, British Antarctic Survey, will present the lecture at 7:30 p.m. 

The lecture is part of the Mathematics of Planet Earth Simons Public Lecture series, which is organized in part by the American Institute of Mathematics. The lecture is intended for a general public audience. 

Free tickets and buses leaving from Morgan Hill providing free round-trip transportation are also sponsored by AIM.
