Anthony Michael Fernandez-Rodriguez died Tuesday, June 26, 2005 in Phoenix, Ariz. He was 10.

He attended 4th grade at Paradise Valley Elementary school in Morgan Hill. He loved to play baseball and was left fielder for the Little League Mets in Morgan Hill. He also loved to skateboard, ride BMX bikes and collect low rider cars.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lynn R. Fernandez and Alfred Rodriguez; brothers, Raul Jr. and Freddy Fernandez all of Gilroy; aunts and uncles, Marie Lewis of Gilroy and Cassandra Lewis of Morgan Hill, Serena and Ed Plaza of Prunedale, Chris Harris of Morgan Hill, Josh Afshar of Gilroy, Alfredo Barragan of Redwood City; godparents, Martha Flores and Alex Barreras of Stockton; and many cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his younger sister, Lynn Rose-Marie; great-grandparents, Lena and Robert Fernandez; and grandma, Rita Rodriguez.

Vigil services will be held at 7pm Monday, July 11, 2005 at Habing Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at the funeral home then to St. Mary’s Church for a funeral Mass celebration at 10am. Burial will follow immediately after at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
