DEAR EDITOR:

I’m writing in regards to your article on the drama Showcase. I preformed in the second period Showcase and felt that your article was unfair to the other students who performed appropriately in their Showcase.

I believe the article focused too much on the inappropriate skits rather then acknowledging the good performances that deserved to be recognized.

Our teacher, Mr. Meeker, informed us before to cut any inappropriate languages or acts that would offend anyone. Throughout the day there were 30 plus performances and most of the skits followed the rules given by Mr. Meeker.

I’m concerned that the students who acted appropriately will be penalized for the acts of other performances. It’s unfair for all our hard work and dedication to be thrown away by your article.

I feel as students we are able to express our feelings and should not be criticized by a couple inappropriate skits.
