people’s hobbies when the city can’t maintain what it already has.
Allowing its progress will only lead to more idiotic proposals,
such as a town square.

The Arts & Culture Center is a ridiculous waste. Taxpayers funding people’s hobbies when the city can’t maintain what it already has. Allowing its progress will only lead to more idiotic proposals, such as a town square.
While Mayor Al Pinheiro is chasing his downtown pipe dream at taxpayer expense, will he answer the following questions:
• Whose property will they seize to create this (square)?
• How many years will it take for the square to become another run-down dope center like the east half of Las Animas “Mud-Hole” Park, which the city continues to let fester? I live right by that pit and, thanks to 20 years of city neglect, I get to watch the drunks and addicts stagger by at a rate of about one per hour in the afternoon.
