Justin Hale, Gilroy Baseball

Hale allowed only one earned run in Gilroy’s 7-4 win over the Cougars Tuesday at Christopher High. The Mustangs’ ace struck out five, walked one and allowed seven hits over seven innings to help his team split the season series with their crosstown rival so far. The teams meet again on May 8 at Gavilan College.
Mackenzie Holt, Christopher Softball

Holt tossed a complete game, allowing just two earned runs on seven hits in Christopher’s 5-2 win in Monterey April 9. The Cougar was also stellar at the plate, going 2 for 4 with a double and a single. Christopher a 7-6 overall record, 2-2 in league heading into Thursday.
