Each week we recognize one area male and female athlete for their performance on the field of play. This week’s are:
Edgar Arriola, Gavilan Baseball

Arriola drove in three runs for the Rams in their 6-1 win over Mendocino Friday. He got Gav on the board early with an RBI-single in the bottom of the third to put his team up 2-0. He flied out to centerfield in the seventh, but scored Brennan Wilson for the final run.

Guerra led the Cougars with 14 points, including three 3-point baskets, in their 53-38 loss to San Benito Tuesday at home. The senior was also instrumental on defense, coming up with five rebounds, two steals and a block to keep her team in the game.
