Aurora Rivera, 73, of Gilroy, died on Aug. 10, 2003. She is survived by her sons John Guerrero of Gilroy, Martin and Sara Guerrero of Newman, Art Guerrero of Gilroy, Leo and Cynthia Guerrero of Gilroy and grandchildren Elizabeth and Henry Chavez of Newman, Jesica and Raul Lopez of Newman, Martin Jr. Guerrero of Newman, Prisilla Guerrero of Newman, Veronica Guerrero of Newman, Michael Guerrero of Gilroy and Leo Guerrero of Gilroy. She was also the great-grandmother of six.
Aurora was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and has resided in Gilroy for the last 40 years. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was full of spirit and will be greatly missed by her family.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, beginning with a visitation at 9 a.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Gilroy. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to a gathering following the service at 1402 Mantelli Drive, Gilroy.
