Dillon Babb posted a jaw-dropping double-double, three otehrs socred in double digits and the Christopher High boys basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 66-57 home victory over San Lorenzo Valley on Monday night. “Overall it was a big win for us. It was a gritty battle that we needed to come away with. And we did,” CHS head coach Kaden Bahner said.

Babb’s double-double consisted of 16 points and 16 rebounds. The Cougars tend to spread the ofense around to a variety of players. That was the case Monday as well. Andrew Foster poured in 13 points, Marcus Harrell and Wyatt Rocheleau each had 12 and Nick Cordova and Samaki Johnson contributed four each.

The Cougars (4-7) will make an abbriviated road trip to Gilroy High on Wednesday night to face the Mustangs (3-5) in a nonleague contest.

“The kids are excited for that one,” Bahner said. “We kind of had an asterisk next to that game from the beginning. It should be a fun game.”

Tip-off is set at 7 p.m. at GHS.
