Barbara J. Pavese died Thursday, June 23, 2005.
Born Nov. 21, 1927 in San Francisco, she came to Gilroy as a freshman in high school. She met and married Ernest Pavese in 1948 and the couple spent 57 wonderful years together.
Mrs. Pavese enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and many trips in her motor home. Eagle Lake in the summer, Arizona in the winter, Canada in the spring and all points north, south, east and west, even staying in Gilroy at times. She had many wonderful friends.
She is survived by husband, Ernest Pavese; son, Larry Pavese; daughter, Theresa Pavese; daughter-in-law, Peggy Pavese; and four wonderful granddaughters, Angelina, Laurel, Kristina, and Averi; Teri’s two great kids, Gary and Tonya; and two great-grandchildren from Tonya, Tyler and Kristianna.
Graveside service will be held at 11am Saturday, July 9. 2005 at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, 900 First St., Gilroy, then to the Veteran’s Hall on 6th and Eigleberry streets for a reception.
No flowers please, but donations to Visiting Nurses Assoc. and Hospice, P.O. Box 2480, Monterey, CA 93942 are greatly appreciated for all their care and service.
