Erik Barron pitched a five-hit shutout to lead Gavilan College’s baseball team to a 3-0 home win over De Anza on Tuesday.

Barron, a freshman right-hander, issued no walks and struck out four in his first complete game of the season as the Rams improved to 6-1.

Sophomore first baseman Kenny Hall hit a solo home run in the seventh inning for Gavilan, which also had Brandt Burns score on a wild pitch in the fourth inning and Burns score on Marc Sabatte’s RBI triple in the sixth.

Connor Sutton went 2-for-4 for the Rams, who won their sixth straight since dropping the season opener.
